Updates (Mar 23, 2026) Part 2

I was lucky in 2015 to go back home to Vietnam to understand life at middle-age.

Like I understood life from a Canadian perspective. “Work for a RRSP”.

But I needed the Vietnamese perspective to give me reason beyond the everyday. To mix-mash reasons.

Vietnamese yearn for more. Especially in 2015 when the country still doesn’t have enough built roads and 100% good infrastructure.

As a Vietnamese, I did not have the network to work like other Asians to get competitive programming job for support … Or I am not cut out for it LOL.

But as a Vietnamese, I like school, so I experimented and developed other things.

Even my CPU Park and Unpark utility is good enough to draw attention to the website.

Do a few of those and your website has traffic.

So as a Canadian first, I realized this problem and took my time. If you had all the supports in Canada, why not?

But again the dynamic of living in the West (North America + Europe) drives people.

Most Asians when they realize you are born in the West are startled.

Well startled now.

So going either the high knowledge route or the experimental self development route ends up being the same at the end???

Both are seeking knowledge.

Do they overlap? Maybe at the end of the career.

…

But how does the self development slow route differ from the go-go programming at a Fortune 10 company?

There is some advantages of the self development route.

There is some advantages of the go go programmer.

But in my case I just had to go my way. Also nothing is 100% one way or the other. Mine is more self development.

Is it good to reflect and contrast different lifestyles for me?
