What is it really like to be Vietnamese in the West?

People think we are party drinking karaoke people who do the ‘other’ jobs.

That ain’t that bad.

But also we steal and are dirty and bad people.

I am forgotten in schools, teachers overlook me and don’t want to educate me.

I had my elementary school teacher say I am meaningless in society. Basically, I am a sperm donor to whoever wants it.

But I work in the margins. I am forced to program and work in the dark. I added something? God helped me out and gave me something in return?

So life has no meaning … out in the circus you call North America.

But working in the margins enabled me to find some self fulfilling stuff when I got older.

I eat well and feel well luckily.

I have my friends who see me human.

I have my 2nd generation Vietnamese-Canadian community.

I have something like everybody else.

But really there is a need for us and a need for you in society or else we would not exist.

Everyone is normal.

So the thing is that we:

  1. Have self help websites
  2. No ads
  3. No promotion

This causes the public to hate and get angry that we are not promoting.

But we are following the guided pathway to salvation on this earth. How about you?
