As an Oshawian born Vietnamese who lives in Ajax going to university in Scarborough, I was told to be a scapegoat (thief and lowlife) in Ajax and by Ajax and Whitby residents in 2002 so other people can live well and have nice families as I take position as the scapegoat and handle all the trash. So I can travel for $1600 CDN and get dual citizenship for $100 CDN … and find work and life different from Ajax and Whitby entirely. I can make a family with love and warmth in the tropics. Money comes very easy. Just sell your hobby/collection that your dad/mom/sibilings helped buy for you for the last 20+ years.
In Vietnam in 2016, I was looking for lodging and met a Chinese landlord. He directly asked if I was Vietnamese or Chinese.
I said I was Vietnamese.
So the Chinese in Vietnam think you are going to pick on them as a 2nd Generation Vietnamese born in Canada who is teaching English overseas???
So my head is worried about teaching Harvard, Oxford quality English materials and the Chinese in Vietnam think you are going to displace them and give them a hard time?
They give you a dual look.
- One – They are Chinese and have it tough in Vietnam and think the local Vietnamese residents are going to give them a hard time
- Two – They and their children turn Vietnamese overtime quickly and the Chinese thinking and mindset goes away as the Vietnamese are worried about delivering Oxford quality English lessons to the children so they can emigrate and work with Westerners in the US, Canada, UK and Australia?
Yes, life in Vietnam does and does not make sense.
