In the West, this is how it is for Vietnamese born in the West.

We are Southeast Asian

Dark
Clever in our ways so if mamma and pappa agree, we do our passions

If you are a light skin Southeast Asian you are confused East and West … You find another 2nd gen Vietnamese born near you to bond with and walk together. Someone with the same look and tone.

If you dark, you are clever and wonderful to be around as teachers and other students think you are cute.

If you look very East Asian out in Toronto east to NewFoundLand, watch out for racism from everyone as people are looking for trouble asking if you are on a covert operation.

But Vietnamese can metamorphosize and turn more Southeast on command.

So I look a my mom and had to go to Scarborough. I look East Asian more and my family treats me as a slave subservient Asian slave since day 2? They got the power and wisdom leaving me nothing but the other half of the world to play with. That is how it is in every family.

Top older group is Western while leaving the bottom Eastern.

Family and Parenting 101

So that is why I have to make money now in marketing to leave this country to go back to Vietnam to become SEA. Be Mr. Independent. Then I become like my dad and repeat the process.

I think Tammy is the same. Her parents treat her the best they can but the parents are Western more than their daughter who is treated East Asian.

There is nothing new to life. Parenting 101. Ask your great grandmother.

Story mode:

15 years ago a fellow Boat People family worked with us.

The son was so so so smart. Only 1 child in the family. The parents owned a Windows installing company. They professionally installed windows for every type of building or house in the GTA+.

Their son majored in chemistry and was treated so Southeast and East Asian that he had the brains of all the Gods in the frontal lobe.

Because his parents were parents thus Western in Canada, he was their Asian slave and studied and studied and lived with his parents. He did everything right and was working excellent and hard working. Chemistry laboratory companies saw he was too smart and inquisitive and only hired him shortly for contract work.

So he saves enough money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to maybe fly back home to Vietnam to restart the process as he wants to be an independent father like his dad and one day have a family.
