So life as a Vietnamese in Canada
So my life in Canada only makes sense and is forward if I work with other Vietnamese-Canadians and allies of Vietnam from the Western world (junction countries like Poland and Russia and Britain).
Otherwise it is a circus and then you got the racists and opposite people telling you, “Hey look at me and my life!” and then they want to be your friend and shit on you after a few drinks.
Watching Vietnamese news from Vietnam helps as the message is straightforward but the Vietnamese news in North America is a circus.
All the Vietnamese immigrants come here to North America is to work ‘the jobs’ and one day retire in the Vietnamese group facilities to talk, sing and eat noodles and soup and fruits. Talk about how weird North America is and what’s happening to their American children.
Their son or grand daughter who is 20.5 years old dropped out of college moves back to Vietnam to find themselves as North American made them feel lesser, dumb, crazy and a scapegoat basically. North American treated them like monkeys so they went back to Vietnam to reclaim ‘culture’ of their immigrant parents.
While their immigrant grandparents and parents bathe in the sun and drink cold lychee drinks in SoCal. The North American experience did not change them much. They worked and hopefully saved enough money to eat banh mi and an accompanying iced tea occasionally.
That is life in North America for Vietnamese.
As the last country in Eurasia which serves as a mixing point for access to lush deltas and nice people. Low and high-end people to try to emigrate there for the forever growing bamboo. That is all you need to hear.
