Why do anything at all?
Why must Vietnam do stuff different from 10,000 years ago?
Vietnam is an agricultural country
It is probably the young and mixed Vietnamese and immature Vietnamese that want Vietnam to become a First World with First World developments. Older Vietnamese like my father who studies and works a lot is un-phased by people and titles.
You build up the mind with philosophy and world history to undermine the gradient and systemic teachings and lifestyles of whites, blacks and asians.
The world history spanning 2000 years in textbooks and books teaches you the different perspectives of the conqueror and the victims so you go balanced in life. It is not 1:1. Emotions, culture and new feelings of the victims counter the white conquer belief system.
To be honest that is all you can do if you are coloured. Trying hard 1:1 battling a pure scientific life and fight requires an alternate look at society and the world to feel balanced and whole and living well.
In my case I suffer. I am SEA but live like a fat, Asian coder in his 40s. I transformed from a carefree fit customer service guy to an Asian coder. To counter the white life, I transformed to be “Asian” and sit at home coding all day to zig-zag around normal white coders at Fortune 1022 company. You trade! You transform. You kind of sacrifice. I swear the more I code and do computer stuff the more I realize that because I am Vietnamese (Southeast Funanese) I will stay Funanese mostly because that is just who I am. Yes, I was born in Canada and changed to become Iroquois Oshawian. But the point is that Vietnam in that area is just agriculture and we live well doing agriculture.
Singapore just has a lot of input and money from other Chinese to call it a resort destination and store assets in many forms I think??? They do innovate only because they are near the equator and are try-hards because they are (1) Mostly Chinese (2) Near the equator. I never been so I am not sure about the real deal why they have this and that.

But we live in the 21st Century where the temperature increased by 3°C and now it is making everyone stay inside cooling off and coding and on social media. We are all stuck inside. Therefore, yes things will change to a Singapore where it is hot and people need cooling to do work and maintain the country.
So now we code and zone and Zen out coding more and more. Until your brother notices you and says, “Hey bro, I like the nifty program you made. I will add input and critique it and we upload it to a website of ours and see the response.”
