Vietnamese 2nd Gen in Vietnam … What I remember …
So most of the time as a 2nd Gen in Vietnam after 5 months of living there you come to this conclusion:
- Can I do what I like here in Vietnam?
- Vietnam feel isolated. Isolated from India and isolated from China. You are an independent country and as an independent will seek. This is different from Americas where we can rely on the state and other Americans. This is what I felt in 2015. Can I really sit here and learn the skills necessary to live and live better in Vietnam?
- It seems most people want a better life and most want to move out of Vietnam back in 2015. People working healthcare seem to have it OK regardless.
- After living in Vietnam for 3 months you come to the conclusion to have a life, work and family you should have studied healthcare medicine like nursing at least. You should have learned the Vietnamese language 2000% while in Americas and learned at least a Registered Nurse to have a 1000000000000% stable life regardless of location. Nursing will teach and teach you forever.
…
Like you walk through the malls, hospitals, schools and roads … what is missing?
People and outside people don’t help Vietnam.
It is up to you to drive the economy and drive yourself.
That is why the immigrants from Vietnam come here to the West and go hard like my parents.
The 2nd generation return or run their parents businesses as they are softer.
