In 2019, I went to do practical nursing to have a family here in Canada.

As a 2nd gen I just wanted to pass at first.

Then I realized how hard it is. How hard healthcare is and how hard life is …

Then I met immigrants in the classroom who strived for a greater life outside than a Canadian would I think.

Their lifestyles look abundant and had merit.

Then I tried my hardest studying.

I would study 3-4 days ahead before a quiz or a test.

I accomplished 1st semester with great marks to peer-tutor the material for the college. I was a college employee, I was a government employee as Centennial College is a government public school.

Then COVID happened and I returned to computers.

Did the stuff with software and debloaters from 2020 to 2026 and realized this.

Yes, immigrants pushed me to try hard and hard and hard and reach the other stars.

But is it really worth it?

Yes. But to keep at it forever?

No, the 2nd generation Vietnamese body can not fulfill all immigrant desires as they are First Peoples that want a secure life of food, housing, children. The extra is not necessary as that makes them crazy.

That is why I hear Canadians marry immigrants and have children then by the time the child is old enough the Canadian man goes off because he can no longer deal with immigrant demands of keeping to improve the immigrant way.

That is why it is important to do this and that and learn what is normal and what is needed in life.

Immigrants are needed for that ‘Old World’ work ethic and to create 2nd Generation hard working children but the Canadian in the picture needs to live Canadian as he gets older???

I seen this many times.

So in the case of 2nd generation couples, I think it is better to move back to Vietnam and raise a family to repeat the process of Boat People as the 2nd generation child are strong.
