Vietnamese Immigrants
Oshawa Vietnamese Immigrants are a force regardless if they are from the North, Middle and South.
They mean business.
I disconnected with most of them since 2017 as they actually think they understand the conditioning of Vietnamese on this continent. They will never know how it is until they have a child.
So it is impossible to intermingle with them in school and after school until they have a child (with anyone really) and the child is in grade 2.
Basically don’t take into account the dealings and advice of Vietnamese immigrants mostly unless they have a child 5 years old in kindergarten going to school in Canada.
In school, it is nice to show this and that about our origins. New ways of thinking and doing to learn from and use and pass the time. It is integrated but not integrated 100% as 2nd generation feel lost with immigrants a bit. Still play and learn but not intermingle and mesh really as both people are across the world from each other born.

Basically all Vietnamese families residing in Durham Region are screwed. They will be treated secondary or just treated like a worker bee. Worker bee in Oshawa for sure.
But that is good to have a life of good work and milestones. We become workers in Durham Region.
…
So I disconnected from the Facebook school group in Durham College and UOIT for Vietnamese as they think their culture from Vietnam still matters.
No after working 5 – 10 years in Canada, life is trying to think periphery and out there making ends meet and money especially in Oshawa. Buy RRSPs.
Teach and teach and teach their 2nd generation kids to marry another 2nd generation kids so they have traction otherwise they will be aloof and girly all life working and playing with other races.

When they are done school each Vietnamese even if they are part Chinese or full Chinese born in Vietnam want you to live like how they are. How they are trapped in Canada.
They would love a CompTIA A+ technician really … but because they are influenced by Chinese (East Asians of Samsung and Sony and Huawei) … they are secretly dating a engineer or computer software engineer to mess with you. Every race is in reality is.
So you got to run away.
Run until you meet a 2nd generation Vietnamese who doesn’t make life about engineering. Work is work and Vietnamese-Canadian culture is Vietnamese-Canadian culture the Canadian born way like you are born. So you got to be 60KM from each other born.
You are expected to build a military submarine with aircraft launching pad(s). That is a given. Don’t make life about your skills.
So that is what happened.

I met Tammy Nguyen and life is high but low. It is expected me to work the grave yard shift for the rest of my life and NOT to toot about it to everyone on social media.
I have no social media. A man is supposed to destroy his social media if he is serious …
She has social media for her work to make money. In my case as we suffer both as monkeys in Canada as 2nd gen. Both feel we get treated like monkeys … That is what we share.
…
Any girl that is not a monkey 2nd gen that toots on Facebook and Instagram that their life’s are great with money and skills are not to be touched. It may be a cultural thing but no. Everyone knows it is bad.
At the beginning it is good to push that field of study and work life but forever and forever as a symbol of “_____” of what? Vietnamese try to show off so much of skills and education and know how that it becomes a bothersome trait of Vietnamese but it is our culture to do that and live.

If it becomes too much, unfriend and ungroup, as 2nd generation has to live Oshawian like their Canadian peers to live healthy. My parents moved us to Oshawa to live to work. That is all.

So this is the relationship between Vietnamese in rentals to other works.
Rentals deal with white-Oshawians all day and interact with them face-to-face to fix their toilet and install a new countertop and work in a way that pleases both. All the tenants of the building want you to work for your money instead of collecting checks.
It is so hard because you got to please them till they accept the work and effort you put into installing a new flooring. You got to work and sweat for them. You got to bend and kneel. Brown nose a lot. See each other equal really.
…
Other Vietnamese work is different and the world is not really happy either.
I never worked for a Vietnamese business like pho or nail salon but I understand nail salons are good money but depressing work. Pho is back breaking work as I worked in restaurants.
…
We needed everyone working this and that including mixes and full this and that to get to this place.
