Science and Engineering and the First World

In 2019, I was volunteering 2 places.

  1. Seniors centre near my home where affluent members sit and eat and play
  2. Cancer centre part of hospital where I was born in

During the volunteering for the summer I learned these things.

  1. I was too young to just to do services for the rest of my life. As a man and coloured man or non-coloured man I did not live for myself. Needed to study, needed to study engineering, need a life of my own, needed a life in my study alone from the world and live life like white engineers.
  2. Working in services you are just trying to counter and level life. Good and bad are the same. Just enjoy eating, serving and somewhat cleaning for the next day. Enjoy the presence of people, listen to the heartbeat of everyone enjoy a nice egg salad and some tea. Money is tight, you got to save that sandwich for the next day to avoid making more. As a white person, you look down at coloured people who do services as you think they would have taken the time to do school. Who is coloured and wants to do food services and cleaning for 80+ years? Services are for mainly white people who look white, clean, pretty and organized and have that cute attraction aura appeal.
  3. Retired white-Canadian people who did engineering in the past are healthy transcended people who look after the people in their community growing up. They look unhappy, segmented and closed off if you as a person or coloured person did not pursue First World opportunities like medicine, engineering and law. Books.

That is what I learned in Canada as a 35 years old in 2019.

The highest people in GTA who are taking the time to volunteer after retirement in hospitals wanted people in general to do maths and engineering as it supported Canada and the World. You made your mark in the world through some kind of equation that combined life, lifestyle, work and others.
