2nd Generation Vietnamese
So I hanged around Tammy Nguyen since 2021. She is also a 2nd Gen Vietnamese born in Toronto from Boat People after the Vietnam War.
She doesn’t make fun of me like Vietnamese immigrants from Vietnam do.
I finally met Vietnamese immigrants from Vietnam in 2017 at my local college and each of them have a bone to pick with me basically. Can not talk to them longer than 5 minutes until they see that I have something inept.
Vietnamese immigrants from Vietnam ask why aren’t you done or currently in a dual PhD/MD program studying AI, disease and prevention like 7 – 10 years ago?
Then they complain, “Now everyone is on the AI train. Are you missing out ??? I think you are missing out and should reskill now or you will be left out of the work. AI is everything! Did you know that? What are you doing talking to me, you should run an AI Startup right now and make apps for the hospitals and drug companies. Why did you not know this? Did you miss out? You are hopeless! I will go find a better husband who understands the reality that we face! Who the heck born such a lazy uncaring son?”.
Tammy knows I have a problem working all the time to solve the problems I have:
Solve the following:
- Solve inadequacy of being a nation that was bombed and fighting forever because outside people want control of the lush Deltas.
- Not developing into a scientific outlook country causing internal problems, sickness and stagnation. Lots of crab mentality because internally looking. No outside help really.
- Fight Vietnamese negative caricature stereotypes since 1955.
- Grow and grow
- Get big
- Get retirement and relaxation

Tammy understands the big picture and is with me. I guess she sees these problems too.
