Why did not finish degrees in computer science and go compete with the millions of programmers?

I grew up in the 1990s wanting to do.

I jumped back in the game in 2020.

My brother waited for me to grow up. My older brother William Nguyen is 4 years older.

He lived true to himself since he was young and ignored my father, mother and siblings pushing him to do classical sciences for a routine lab job.

He pursued creative arts watching all sorts of media online and on cable/antenna and spent money for Blockbuster.

He waited for me to grow up since 2009. He waited for his younger brother to program. Now we can create stuff. We can create media and apps. We collab and sync really well.

In 2020 we launched BenchTweakGaming.com. Back then it was a fusion of gaming, tweaking programs and benchmarking … We tried to monetize it too.

We found a niche instead of competing for jobs.

Simply we are outliers of society (full Vietnamese and Southern) so in time we found a part of world that we could play and work in.

Learning for a degree and learning for work can be address by doing your thing.

If you have enough need and passion, eventually you learn the necessary things to do it and also grow and possibly grow, grow.

The idea of race, culture and countries are eliminated in daily discussion because when you are the bottom feeder outlier (full South Vietnamese) in the eyes of the world, you simply can not talk in ‘race’. You talk in life, pursuits and adventure.

So that is the mindset of full South Vietnamese in North America (Canada).

Is it good or bad? Is it normal or abnormal? Is it 50 : 50? Kind of yes.

After 5 – 6 years since 2020, I got pretty cemented in coding easier.

Daily for the next year, I would share this stable level of skill and knowledge to the rest of the immediate family and then William had a level of skill to produce some cool creative works.

Basically, since 2018 after seeing how different people are in the 21st century near and far, I turned off social media (never posted a picture of me on Instagram/TikTok) and let God send me hints on proper living.

Keep morals high and mighty.

I am protected by faith God/Buddha and Karma.

My life is good and I have plenty of delicious inexpensive instant coffee, tons of cheap biscuits and live in safe supportive Canada.

Also if I compete for computer programming jobs it would be so bad for me as I don’t really compete. This is because I am an Ajax kid at heart. I am from mainly Ajax, Ontario and liked to work nights doing labour jobs alone.

My first real job was nights in the produce section and I got along with the night crew and the lifestyle of supermarkets.

If I could not work computers or whatever, I would return to nights again.

I enjoy food too. A nice Italian coffee and Italian donut is such a reward after working nights in the morning.

I kind of like using my body if I think young and aloof. My family lineage is somewhat farmers. It feels super cool to use the body. Maintaining your body for peak physical work at a job is crazy fun and cool.

The reason why I sync and collab well with Ben Cybulski, William Nguyen, Simon Fisher, Dmitry Nefedov, etc. is because:

• I learned collaboration is best way. Collaboration is usually better than one person. Collaboration takes simple ideas and broadcasts them according to the number of people involved.
• Simply, you had to learn a lot to collab. Learn a lot to collab just to live in the West. It is about survival first. I took upon my self as a middle child in the family to study this much and help the family. But seriously, we live in Canada so no much worries. That main target was dignity. And why not?
• The problem with people sometimes is that they actually believe in sex, drugs and rock and roll. Look at me. I believed in God/Buddha and Karma and got all this in 3 – 4 years since 2018. I released the fun product in late 2020. If you don’t believe in God then you don’t care enough for your wellbeing and future.

The survival mindset isn’t really a survival mindset for Vietnamese residing in modern First World countries.

All Vietnamese can at least work in their staple jobs.

Your parents just want you to work. Simply work and have kids. Repeat. So you stop acting like a baby and get out of your crib.

The idea of survival is quite stupid in modern First World countries. All you have to do is find a women that understands Canada, preferable one born in Canada and have some stable job and put out babies.

The people complaining about survival and doing what they want are just delaying having kids. Parents want you out there making babies with a woman that is 100% mature. Once you have kids you become exactly like your parents and then want your kids having kids and working even the staple jobs.

My mother and father scolded me since day one.

My mother thinks I am stupid still to this day not monetizing the products.

But society knows what I am doing.

But what now?

I can not be a social media guy.

I can not simply compete on YouTube and social media as I am a guy and full South Vietnamese.

To live morally is to create without a face. That is the best health and route to choose since 10,000 years ago.

Tell me where can I get snagged and troubled and bothered by not showing up in your social media feed?

Life before in your face technology is the route like back in the 1960s – 70s when it took 2 weeks to film and produce videos to be displayed on your local TV station.

Photos took at least a month to appear in your newspaper.

The millennial generation had it the best to focus and center and recenter their energy. Nothing appeared and you had to read books and imagine to get that constant feed of exciting thinking and things to do.

How to test a woman?

It is easy. Get a routine staple stable job and see if they willing to date you and marry you and have your kids.

If they are smart and mature, they don’t mind.
