Updates (Mar 5, 2026)
As a Canadian born in Durham Region, all I can do is coast.
My parents born me in Oshawa and I grew up in Ajax.
There is a slight level of stress living this way now in Oshawa for the last 18 years.
A good amount of stress? Nope.
…
Certain professions change reality.
But a lot of life now is uncertain with everyone becoming unrealistic in image, wants and needs??? People are not looking for the old wisdom from the Old World???
Can you ask for more than what the Old World provided before and now?
…
When things are uncertain go back to old formula and run from there.
…
I guess unrealistic wants and needs got me here.
Now because I am location stuck and need a way out.
I will close down shop and start doing what I like.
…
I wrote a piece called ‘Introspection‘.
Is that life for a common Durham Regioner?
I think it encompasses me a lot and fulfills a lot.
This is the best I can do.
…
After studying history and world history.
I learned a big lesson.
What do people think people deserve??? And how to solve things if the problems are regional and national.
…
As a Canadian first person, what are my secondary needs?
Does being full South Vietnamese mean anything now since we scaled to this level? Are we representing Canada? Are we representing the multiculturalism here? Or are we actually backing the USA as Canadian born?
Lots to think about when your countries are in deficits and are crumbling.
…
The idea for 2nd generation Vietnamese-Canadians was to explore education and knowledge of the world to scale farther and larger.
No competition, just survival.
The more you know the more you can plan and predict.
The more you can sit there rest assured that your seat will be there for the next 100 years.
…
The great thing of getting old is the following:
- You worry about skills
- You worry about the economy
- You worry about education
- You worry about schools
- You worry about infrastructure
- You project 100 – 200 years in to the future
…
I got ‘handled’ working my last job during nights at my supermarket near the mall here in Oshawa.
I got to understand life at the level that I went ‘Let’s go!’
That is really the feeling and great feeling of living and living in Oshawa.
…
The thing with Canada that I can not forget …
1491 is when Europeans landed in the New World.
How many generations are Canadians and Americans here?
You have to understand which direction they are going to talk to them.
Once you know their direction then you can talk. Basically what ask them what they want with you?
…
I saw this while working selling cell phones.
When I was working selling cell phones, some coworkers showed this dynamic either now or behind the scenes.
The goal of selling cell phones was to make cell phone a form of communication to those that wanted it and explore it.
That is the dilemma, you aren’t supposed to sell a plan or service to a customer that had no money.
Human approach.
…
But at the end of the day … there is this cycle.
People that are like 6th generation Canadian marry an Old World immigrant or 2nd generation???
…
You have to ask yourself … what are you going to do? Who are you going to marry?
The Trump family married Old World from Europe.
…
2nd generation have this problem.
Their immigrant genes are not 100% immigrant genes as they are born in Canada.
It is quickly turning more and more Canadian.
That means they hate other immigrants naturally and hate other groups naturally. They only like their immediate family and local territory usually.
But because we live North in the Cold, we have to bond to build enough infrastructure for the snow and cold seasons. But generally Northern people are nice.
But when it gets to the point of marrying and having children …
People must settle in the region of their choice and become that region marrying someone more Western or Eastern, more Northern or Southern to have compatibility and reason to help.
If the relationship is fun and games 99.9999% or even 90% work then nothing works. You have to think normal and local in terms of maturity and having family I think at the end.
Some girl that is more Western than me and more Southern than me must take care of me for who I am at my worst. Because now is having children and starting normal lives.
I think I did screw up doing more … at least we tried to do something otherwise total system collapse.
Now live normal. Will it every be normal? If this did not occur, immigration would fail and full ejection???
…
I watched other Social Media influencers and realized that they chose the hard path of being a medical professional as default and enjoy themselves as mature old, old, old adults with money. Just job and money.
…
The narrative that Vietnamese are slow, stupid and backwards and are people that steal was a way over the centuries to stop invaders just like every other tropical climate country.
But now 50 years in the Americas, that narrative doesn’t really exists as the 2nd generation and more have access to all the supports and services that enable them to have a OK computer, with a nice IPS LCD widescreen monitor and full speed internet access to study and fill the mind and socialize online (blog at least) with nice keyboard and nice mouse.
…
What are stereotypes now? Should we still support the negative stereotypes to sustain the hierarchy here in the Americas and the World?
But for full South Vietnamese born in Canada supporting the centuries old negative stereotypes brings me back to the computer doing my thing or full ejection back to Vietnam …
So life for me is hopeless unless I get an immigrant wife that supports my family business life to have a family???
I don’t think anyone is really supporting me. Full South Vietnamese born in Canada can not really have a life as it is opposite to the mainstream …
I was exposed to North and middle and southern Vietnamese culture at my local college and realized I am kind of stuck.
…
Basically you choose to have job and money. None of this talk about going further. That is all it is. Do healthcare and have a family at this point.
Even sell coffee.
