Vietnamese from Vietnam and Vietnamese from Canada intermingle
So what happened with Vietnamese interactions here and far?
In 2006, I went to Vietnam after failing 2nd year university. My family back in Vietnam told me to finish my degree.
2016 and I am back in Vietnam working. Life in Vietnam is OK. But I never did my dreams in the West. A friend of mine in Vietnam told me to try one more time in the Americas as life in Vietnam was hard and money is hard to come by. I was not sure but whatever as I never did my dreams in the Americas.
2017 and back in college in my local college. See the hopeful and encouraging Vietnamese students from Vietnam trying to make something of themselves in the West.
I followed suit. They encouraged me to follow my dreams.
I befriended them and followed them on Facebook.
We interacted for years and years, I learned from them and hopefully they learned from me as a Vietnamese born in Canada.
8+ years pass.
I done something with my team with all the interactions and learning from Vietnamese born in Vietnam and here in Canada.
The interactions and learning did something that people notice. We developed our own modern culture and network away from just the general public as I finally did what I liked???
…
Then after I learned life is a lot of hailstorms here in the West and then grew up learning that live is really deep too. Can be deeper than what people think normally. So deep and unique that life can just differ from others and that becomes normal as you are old and middle-aged compared to what is normal and what is out there.
…
There after all this and that you realize, is there something about location?
Yes, the students from 2017 at my local college are mainly from the North of Vietnam so they care a lot vying for the skills and degrees and have to live externally and make money??? They work to live as they can not rely on agriculture.
So it was good to finally see what Northern Vietnamese do and want as it helped me so much. We together figured out how to aide each other and we made something. So I guess diversity works in very mysterious ways in Canada.
