To Reach

< Why

I knew growing up in Canada that you had to reach.

But sometimes living in Canada you just want to live, live.

When I went home to Vietnam to visit my cousins, I felt odd.

Globalization was in full swing in 2015, cousins wanted me to try so hard to live in the West and stared deep into my soul saying I did not understand the problems of globalization in Vietnam. The living conditions were so poor in 2015 and that to live with full services and amenities were short in Vietnam.

But I knew deep down inside there was a level of reaching and competitiveness about Vietnamese for some. That is how Vietnamese stayed Vietnamese and independent for thousands of years in the world. The high alert and readiness of Vietnamese to adapt was tremendous to keep them afloat.

I went back to Canada understanding the levels needed to reach high.

But when I went back to work at routine jobs, the Canadians in Oshawa, Ontario simply said in their culture you just had to work hard and try your hardest everyday.

That is Canadian culture at its finest.

To keep Canada running, Canadians work just hard to be a leader in the world.

Just working hard is enough as most people don’t work hard.

That is why for some Vietnamese from Vietnam who lived in poor conditions in Vietnam then come to the West and succeed reaching the top 1%.

Again that depends on the person and environment.
