The Way

< Why

My way I found was this …

When I was young before adulthood, I remember reading and hearing about Asians doing research at institutions.

Getting published in papers was such a good thing.

I realized doing this stuff required a lot of knowledge.

Getting published in major science magazines and journals was ‘the thing’.

I did not know exactly how to get there.

I knew it took lots of studying, studying a lot of things and getting to university and doing research in a lab.

Then I learned it required finding a mentor at university.

Then I realized after going to university talking to professors that it required understanding of math. Understanding all math to the basic ‘atom’.

That scared me.

I was pushing myself to learn that.

Then I failed because I changed myself to like it but my core things I did when I was young was computers.

Then in 2012, I saw how Tony Tie just did what he wanted in life and including his siblings.

And I did the same in 2013.

Over the years, I tried and tried and tried and then evolved to doing things that I liked and socialized and befriended people.

Met Allan Michael Lane in 2017 at the computer store, he told me people need coding. He let me practice and see the unlimited limits of computing practically and abstractly. He showed me the Western way how broad and unlimited they think.

Met Ben Cybulski in 2018 while he did his co-op at the computer store, and he pushed me to live and do what I want for myself. Try so hard and do everything reaching beyond the limits. Taught me his unlimited mindset. Pushed me to do programming and do our own thing. Got the support from him. This website and software wouldn’t be here without him and his ideas and support. He gave me ideas to do. He pushed the boundaries. He taught me to start small at first and practice.

Simon Fisher, my brother in law who is in IT, taught me to be so open, forward to program. He made coding an easy effort. You change your mindset to think it is ‘easy to code’. Just play with it as it is trial and error???

In 2020, befriended Dmitry Nefedov and worked on his projects to deliver a unique powerful safe solution for customizing Windows and later further develop his standalone products using standard technologies and new.

Built many software products with the team with my twists added too.

In 2021, I joined and posted on the Vietnamese Student Association Discord for University of Toronto.

Made friends with Tammy Nguyen. She taught me her perspective of a Vietnamese born in Canada and doing what she wanted in life in safe Canada. “Just do your thing” regardless of parents, friends and family in safe supportive Canada because that is what Canada is for.

I wanted to prove myself and to her that I can to do something in the safe Canada with her support in safe Canada. Meaning no worries and just doing your thing and chilling, I did stuff daily, weekly, monthly, yearly overtime here in Canada.

Did more features and unique software with the team and make the Windows Debloater also teach scripting so it becomes a free educational tool as well.

Get published in 2021 in MakeUseOf.com

Get published in 2024 in PCWorld.com.

Then 2025 comes, finally I am published in a ‘developers’ online magazine website XDA-Developers.com.

Now I have an audience to market to and now I can help. People are noticing my passion and diligent work and zoning out to see what ends up at the end.

Deep down I wanted to see and prove to people and to Tammy Nguyen things can be done if you give things time in a safe environment like Canada and not rush and while having the support of a friend like Tammy. Also with other supportive people too.

See how far this is and went and continues to go? It was all connections and relationships. Also being in safe Canada helped. It is the relationships we have with people. It is not about the work, not about the money, not about the job, not about the social status. It is about the relationships. That is life.

Now I realize the negative interactions I have in life are just misunderstandings. You do things that drive you that is beyond you which are the special relationships you have.

Tammy Nguyen supported me.

Other people too but it was her.

As a southern Vietnamese person, this is probably the best I can do in Canada …

This will give me the healthiest lifestyle here and give me the smarts and confidence to think about life and the West.

Because I am born in Canada and love the things about Canada. The love of doing Western things like your passion and hobbies conforms to Western thinking and values. I think doing what you love and going all for it is what ‘drives the West’?

That is why as a Vietnamese born in Canada, I can really only get along and bond with other Vietnamese born in Canada to have this.

I found this way after growing and seeing and socializing with other Vietnamese in the West.

I also found this way when I tried and thought about a lot of things like working routine jobs again.

But this way was the healthiest.
