Life in North America
My parents had a choice in 1979 in Malaysia at the refugee camp. They wanted to get to the USA as they heard good ideas about it. My father chose Canada due to circumstances.
Was there really a difference between USA and Canada in North America?
At the end, my dad says after being 47 years in Canada, Canada is one of the best choices to live and work and to raise a family comparable to USA.
Education is high.
I guess that is what he is trying to say after 47 years here in this country.
After having children right away, the ‘only light’ for himself and his children is to partake in the forever journey of education and growth in North America like the majority do.
I learned this more and more as I gotten Vietnamese born in Canada friends.
That is the trick.
In the suburbs of the GTA, I learned to be passive.
Then when I met Vietnamese born in Canada, all the so called barriers went away. We went to live for ourselves like other groups.
Tammy Nguyen taught me to just live for myself. Tony Tie told me to ignore the barriers and talk straight business. Avoid talking about the barriers.
If I am passive, then there is nothing for me at all here in Canada because of the barriers other people put up to prevent others.
So educating yourself for your own interest and hobbies is the only way in North America really for the good life and feeling all day. Being unique is the main driver then.

At the end of 40 years old, the barriers people put up to allow themselves to gain something first is subsided as it is inhumane. People actually start worrying about deeper individual growth, religion and God and retirement and stop preventing people from growing. Life is bigger than themselves and we need each other for a fulfilling life.
Being young and wanting is a huge thing for oneself.
At the end of the day, you do what you want really for that peace of mind and feeling good but it doesn’t make sense if it prevents people from doing good universal stuff. You then suffer at the end if you do bad things to others.
…
If you don’t educate yourself like the forerunners in North America running Fortune 5 companies, then you simply suffer and don’t get anywhere here in North America. You can’t even live. Then it is best to move back to your home country if you can if you don’t work and learn like the majority.
…
Even after all the problems, then you learn about opposing views and trying to make things work here in North America if you can.
There will always be countries where the location determines most things. If you live broadly enough, you can live anywhere.
…
The immigrants that are 80-90+ years old in North America know that diversity causes motion. Commerce works because of differences. So what young people are doing is just what it is and normal. Young people with their individual ideas and tastes creates money and jobs for life to proceed. New stuff.
…
I socialize with Tammy Nguyen and Tony Tie and others regularly. We have our own group where we explore things and create commerce too in North America and the World.
50 years after the Vietnam War, our generation should have something. It is just natural.
There are Vietnamese in all parts of the world. Some even starting their own groups when they are 30+ years old realizing the change in mature thinking.
Now in other parts of the world like other Southeast Asian nations now, things are changing. Industrialization is occurring rapidly to transform every location into making commerce just like Vietnam.

So what is life in North America? You got to listen to the guy who makes the smart forward broad decisions and keep moving. You just learn and do stuff to live doing what you like regardless of whatever people think. If you care so much about what people think, then you simply stagnant and go in circles or worse.
