Updates (Nov 17, 2025)
Thanks to all my friends that helped me over the years and the beautiful country of Canada, I am OK here in Canada.
All it took was to do my passions in safe Canada.
All I wanted to do when I was in grade 6 was to create software utilities.
As I got old and old, I turned to the PC to live out my dream as generally no wants to deal with a 35 year 2nd generation Canadian-Vietnamese in public back in 2019.
99% of people in the public space are 40 and below and just want to deal with young hip people.
When you get old, for me as a Canadian-Vietnamese, you must hit the books maybe or turn to IT or medicine for long term work till you are a retiring senior.
…
What was my line-in in society as a 2nd gen? The stereotype of Vietnamese in medicine is pharmacy, IT and real estate.

I work on projects that farag2 (Dmitry Nefedov) is so passionate about which is customizing Windows. Because of his passion in Windows and Windows services there is something going.
Inestic (Dmitry Demin) is also passionate about doing the SophiApp which is the full complete standalone version of Sophia Script for Windows.
That is what happens when you follow your passions and join such an passionate team.
…
The key takeaway from this blog now is that if you are in a rut, find similar frequency friends and work on projects together and keep evolving the projects. You might end up doing something that worthwhile and used widely.
From there you are an asset for the economy.
From there you become a marketing tool for your family and your friends.
Then you become solidified.
You don’t realize all this at first. It literally took me from 2014 to 2021 to get somewhere. I finally realized that I needed programming to solve my inadequacy in 2014.
Then I met Tammy Nguyen 2021 then we worked for 6 years together daily and things are nice.

In 2015, I went home to Vietnam to work and live. I gave up living in the West.
At that time I was 32-33, I realized I was old and settled?
Then I realized some of my cousins had great lives. Some had wives and some even had children.
One of my cousins had a computer engineering degree.
That made me ponder everything.
Then some cousins had children that were already in their 20s with wives themselves that also had engineering degrees.
Then I realized it was engineering kind of. I was oldest and no one could show me the way …
Fast forward to 2025, I realized it was computer programming for me but refactoring.
But all of this was external I thought back in 2015.
The my cousins on my mothers side like Anh Bư from uncle #4 told me the truth of life. He showed me how hard life in general was. And life in Vietnam was super, super hard compared to elsewhere and put me in this trajectory with my other cousin Anh Lộc telling me to go back to the West.
Then I realized this later, older cousins tell you how hard life is and show you the true trajectory of life you should run. They set the tone for everything that is life really.
Younger cousins also can show you the way. Everyone adds. But when older cousins are trying to rise with globalization and are still not well off, you got to kick it in high grew and see the ugly truth of how hard life can be … this is only because I am me. I am more like my mother than my father as I am a son. I have the mentality of my mother and mothers side because of genes.

Duality …
In the West there is this abnormal feeling when you get in your 30s+ working long nights in produce supermarket … You have smarter more younger workers telling you what to do …
Because you are older than them, you might know how to handle young minds that tell you, an old man with a bad back, to work harder and more efficiently.
You know as an old man things take time and as an old man your mind is projecting to retirement and not young adult thinking.
Then you see older people who are reaching 40s and 50s telling you they seen it all and you should not make fun of old people working in the supermarkets. These older coworkers have found a spot and pace that suits them. They might work less hours but have other things to attend to like their children and hobbies and other physical activities. The key is other growth too.
Then you realize you are trying to work efficiently and more efficiently day-by-day to one day become an assistant manager of the store.
You learn so much working nights. You have to work 5 years nights to even apply to work as a manager.
In that 5 year period, you are learning and learning, even accelerating to have a massive mind to understand consumerism and the economy.
You might have ideas to sell and improve operations and projects and products.

What is life?
It is all about circumstance?
I think it is 99.9999% because of circumstances.
People more smarter than me. Older, more North, closer to the UK understand me and my dilemma.
I did the things I did because of circumstance.
And when you finally understand how to run and cycle, then you just got to maintain it.

What do you do living further North and East to one of the major automobile manufacturer in the world: GM?
Work.
You have to keep the assembly line running.
The frequency here is that way. If you don’t work then you literally get sick. You get sick feeling worthless living in an automobile city.

I am born in Canada. At 35 I went back home to do my dream.
I finally followed my dream with support.
I got help from all perspectives. From immigrants to family to other Canadians.
What made me go all in?
I was old in 2020. I started a diploma in 2017 and had problems along the way. I finally got a good product out in 2021. I realized I was mature.
The clash and different perspectives of school is nice but if you are mature when you are young, you realize after it is just you alone walking around getting slices of pizza and pops and going home to your computer to play and learn alone for years until you get something with same frequency friends.
All the growing up things is nice.
The most important thing is to realize is that mature women just want you to work and provide just enough for them. But if the work is negative to your ego or race … then you go do your own thing. Literally you just do you.
Basically this is the only job that people can not really judge, the pain is minimal of being new immigrants to the West as this job is software engineering.
