Updates (Oct 19, 2025)
I finally understand life now and am comfortable.
Years before I did not understand my people and race relations in the West.
Yes, we all envy other races that are better or have something else that we might want.
But we need each other to learn from.
Some races have it easy while some don’t.
This allows for steady work and dynamism.
…
Why does my brother and I continue to do what we like at 40+?
Some Vietnamese in the USA also do stuff like Tony Tie’s family. There are others too.
I guess it feels good. Vietnam finally got it’s independence in 1945 and we are now enjoying the freedoms.
But this is external growth? Is external growth needed here in Canada? Yes, mostly.
…
My father expects me still to do healthcare and work 9 – 5 … My dad says at the end people will treat you right and people are just people at the end of the day.
People learn and grow together in healthcare and that is the trick and equalizer mostly. That is the ‘thing, thing’ in medicine that people know or don’t know. We are constantly learning and analyzing in medicine so we get the benefit of learning from people and learning in general. We may not code the MRI system or the next AI model but we have the capability almost from just working in healthcare. Smart care.
Doing our current stuff is great and it had some impact. But you should just work, work … save enough money to retire? My dad works everyday and learns everyday so he learns a lot too and does stuff. It is healthy enough.

The problem with dating as a Vietnamese born in the West.
You are supposed to find the woman who sees just your inner child. And you also see her inner child. The race thing is a problem for Vietnamese born in the West. You are suppose to see each other as the baseline and somehow work. The external growth and physical part is an addition???
…
What happens when Vietnamese born in the West man and woman reach 35? Women generally are more mature than men by double.
…
The oddest thing that happens to Vietnamese born in the West is around the time they are doing 4th year D-level ‘research’ course.
They arrive at 2 questions:
- Is it it? Is life about doing research?
- Can I continue this?
But the real deal is when you are actually finished school and eating dinner at your favourite burger place.
Was Western life really about ‘just school’ in Canada?
…
What is life really after mid-life in Canada as a Vietnamese born in Canada?
The more you get older you either realize either life starts at 40 or you just live routine 9 – 5 in some cool healthcare work I think as a Vietnamese born in Canada.
You can try and try and try at 40 doing your thing to get that good feeling or growth and accomplishments.
Or live caring and smart as a healthcare worker working among other healthcare workers as a unit.
I tried and tried at 36 years old and now I am 41 years old. I learned a lot and grew a lot and surprisingly I had some accomplishments which I am grateful for.
To scale more is so tiring. My health is not really good as I am stressed. All you need at this point is one project like all the greats do … That is the trick. Most people like to eat the buffet but really you just need a junior cheeseburger.
You realize doing this is so much external growth and feeds you hungrily and makes you overeat for me. Then I guess you return to care work where you change your mindset and lifestyle to care and learn. That is 99% OK work.
The people in healthcare working kind of know this that healthcare work is 99% good. The entrepreneur doing this and that is the best but will you find peace in what you really want? Or are you overeating? Or is hunger the game? Jesus I am old now … If I overeat I will get sick???

What working with the team taught me …
Working on the Sophia Projects with the team taught me how do develop everything else.
But the most important thing was to just focus on Sophia Wrapper mainly.
Steady graduated learning that is step wise mostly.
Living out in the real world without a logical foundation is hell. If I was a paramedic I would be full of emotion I think and it would be bad.
Have one project to do in computers like Sophia Script for Windows allows me a good life that is learning and also stressful but not full of emotion that can jostle you 180 degrees.
But probably you need programming first? to build that foundation of logic to deal with whatever is out there? You definitely need your own time to relax and enjoy and rest to feel at peace and feel good. You need you to grow and feel grown and good.
…
I realize now …
The point of medicine finally.
It is race/nation based and based on class.
But in the Canada and the West it is messed up as countries near and far are being developed and countries modernize.
As Vietnamese modernize, we become a scientific country.
…
If your race and class is not at the middle, then you simply work out of sight and develop with your group in your ethnic town to solve issues with your group and issues with upper and lower groups. You basically got to hide.
So ever since changing doctors, my health has improved 1000%, the doctors I have now are similar to me genetically.
The doctor can see your advantages in the world. But do you see theirs?
Then you realize you got to cycle and mix to love one another.
…
How medicine works … you are supposed to make medicine the solution.

Darker underprivilege people with limited line-in have to work all the time in the shadows and get around people and the barriers and subjugation. This causes commerce to happen. It is easy once you learn world geo politics and find your allies. That is why your grade 7 primary school teacher asked you to write to a pen pal back to someone half way across the world in the 1990s.
…
People who have had the luxury of being developed for decades have an incredible hard time seeing other countries develop.
…
The difference between immigrants and native coloured people is simply how they view colorism.
Because I was born in Canada in Oshawa, I think the lighter the person the nicer and smarter they are. I think lighter skin people are more open and have more opportunities than me because they can use their looks and don’t really think negative.
Immigrants fresh off the boat come hungry come to work and study. The ones that have 2x PhDs in the native country with 12 years of R&D and sales do great.
The key thing they mastered in logic understanding of the world but into the core magna. They understand their home country 100% but because they specialized in research 2 times with 2x PhDs they can understand logic so well in depth that they can throw insight even to natives of Canada who just have a Bachelors or just a Masters.
That is why sometimes it is important to ask the help of developed countries to develop your country so that you can get a PhD in your home country and immigrate if you want for research or just relocate for a better life.
The key thing missing from young immigrants is 2 things:
- How to work with native Canadians and provide for native Canadians as one day they will act and behave like native Canadians in at least 4 – 8 years depending when they start working in the public sector after school.
- What do they really want to achieve here in Canada? Are they addressing their young wants and needs and reams or are they pursuing what their parents want or are they supporting family back home?
Also will they work in their ‘towns’ or work far north near Ottawa providing care for retired Canadians?
…
Does my parents know enough about life as refugees?
They grew up during the Vietnam War era. That takes broad understanding.
But the problem I realize when I got older is that I needed other Vietnamese born in Canada to socialize as I was coloured below the average. Not everything is perfect in life in Canada.
That is why Tammy Nguyen and Tony Tie support me as there are different speeds and routes to get to maturity.
…
In 2017, I went back to school for college. I finally met Vietnamese born in Vietnam at the local college. Most of them dismissed me … thinking I did not know what I was doing.
Now after 8 years, they helped me directly and indirectly to show what I lacked and the lifted the fog of being Canadian, being Vietnamese and World dialogue.
I simply did not grow up with Vietnamese born in Canada and lacked Vietnamese culture and Vietnamese mindset from Vietnam.
I combined what I knew as a Westerner that was passive and who worked supportive jobs and now we developed all together creating commerce. So diversity created commerce.

Question for Vietnamese born in the West …
What do you expect after 4 generations here in the West?
…
What do Vietnamese born in the West that work in the public sector daily really think broadly living and growing in the Americas? Is it similar to Chinese or Indians?
…
What happens in Vietnam according to looks and race?
It seems people are divided sometimes.
But at the end people marry based on inner child and similar look.
Usually couples in Vietnam may share a similar looking nose as the nose defines the look.
