Updates (July 16, 2025)
What do you do when you are stressed? …
If you don’t work on yourself, then you will stress others.
…
While in school, people are growing and competing and making decisions that could be not great.
…
After I finished school in 2023 and also in 2009, I realized I still acted Vietnamese. Education and skills don’t really change you …
However, the difference in 2023, is that I could build out stuff. I knew the trajectory for furthering myself. Build and build. Build as a past time. That enabled me to think and feel good all the time. The more you build the better.
The trajectory was to do my projects.
I guess after awhile in life, after school and some work. The things that make you go and live are still your personal projects here in the West.
…
After I socialized and worked and socialized more with Vietnamese same age people, I realize I grew to the same age level as them. Then what is next?
You just hang … then you go back to things that make you happy and good: your hobbies.
The important thing was to socialize with Vietnamese as old as me here in the West and see the aftermath of socializing together.
We look at each other and see … yup, yup … this is life. Just constant walking along.
Now we go back doing what we like. Now I am finally mature, mature as them. I was seeking old as me friends and now grew and realize life is just like this: walking. Now I know they are there which is comforting.
We just do our thing.
…
Vietnamese old as me living in Canada don’t bother me. We support each other as old people walking through life now.
They don’t expect anything really. But expect you to do something with your life to just keep busy.
It was interesting finally getting old and understood.
There is this maturity at the end where we are just ‘trying’.
I guess getting old is not bad as it sounds.
No more trying to want and need and fight for ‘young’ things really as those things are of the past.
Time is to walk slow and notice things and age slowly. As we have done most of the work now. We are grown.
We grow regardless just by living. Especially grow fast living in Canada.
…
I found out a new thing in my life …
I grew from negative interactions and now most people now try to stir up my work ethic. Now that is better than projecting negative Vietnamese stereotypes.
Yes, I learned from the interactions and grew, but still do my thing here in safe Canada. I still do my thing.
…
Things got to a point where there is no name calling and no negative stereotypes because that goes in circles. People are supposed to cycle? The circle of life.
If they negatively stereotype, then they look bad.
The oldest ‘Canadians’ don’t generally negatively stereotype. They offer pathways and life goals. Their mind is so large that they have accounted for everything. Just living daily and casually for good ideals goals. Everyone is seeking that at the end of life.
Basically, in life … you aim to be like them … You aim to be like these broad ‘Canadians’ as a life goal in reality. That is a goal you want in life. Everyone secretly wants too be nice and very broad and offer opportunities and pathways … No one denies that.
…
One of the nicest and safest way to live in ‘Canada’ was doing the old way of research and study by yourself and with your friends.
It doesn’t get much outside interaction. You are not working in companies. Your scope maybe small but it is yours in that timeframe and snapshot.
…
I have friends working out in the real world doing excellent stuff. They push me to go out there and work and develop alongside other people and different people and groups.
Does that work for me? I am not sure. I get pigeon holed working 100% of the time because of my natural personality inside. Bosses put me in a 2D-hole. It is warranted though … I don’t mind.
