Updates (Jan 3, 2026)

New Years was OK.

The key thing was to accept stuff.

What also did I learn?

You have to keep the old dynamic if you work on a team for many years.

You do what you can but keep the dynamic running as “what else?”

Changing the dynamic may cause more trouble than it is worth.

But leave 5% to experiment.

The coolest thing about life in North America is this trick …

Worldwide since the 1970’s the world has been chasing youth through cosmetics, surgery and lifestyle choices.

But if you let yourself get old. Take the time to draw out the day, reflect, read a book or two from the past you get to a understanding that life is better if you think like the old days of the past.

If you take this path, you are calm, independent, have your own way of life, you even have your own 1000 page book on your philosophy of life.

Regardless of people if you choose a path to become a wise ancient man no one can criticize you.

You seek to think like the great philosophers. Be among them or add to them.

That means thinking of family, community and life.

That is what my father said.

I knew when I was in grade kindergarten here in Canada, things just would work out for me in Canada as I was Canadian born.

Yes, I learned from immigrants and befriended a lot of 1st, 2nd, 3rd+ generation people.

Because I born in Canada, I had the sense …

Also Canadians don’t really mind. I have a sense that the older Canadian ones 3rd+ generation don’t mind me and guide me to where I need to go. I have this feeling.

The layers of introspection …

TBC.

Very important.

My brother has the task to lead the family …

But life is about food, restaurants, experimenting with food once you understand the stress of pushing forward is enough.

If you are sick and need a break, take it.

If you are leading and need a break, someone else will take lead.

But people in the arts are also trying to up the emotional charge.

That is the problem with doing arts.

That is why I pivoted to computers …

It is a change of life but also offers something else.

But the real deal for 2nd generation Vietnamese is that you can also pivot to culinary because motherland food is everything in this world.

Life was fun in the beginning … As a Vietnamese born in Canada it was fun growing up because I lived in safe supportive Canada.

But when you get to 41 years of age, things need work. Has some stress. Stressful.

There is a midpoint where it is the growing entrepreneur stage of growth.

But life to continue requires stress but it is mainly hard work stress. And then you kind of maintain that for life.

To lead, to lead your life, to know a good life …

In Vietnam in 2015-16, I met my 3rd cousin on my mother side who worked as a nurse across the river from Long Xuyen.

She was old like me. All the young adult talk was gone.

She was a healthcare worker talking about the struggles of universal life.

Back then I just worked a few jobs in Canada and could not keep up with her.

Work struggles in healthcare looks universal everywhere in the world.

People are sick. People need medicine and help.

That changed me knowing that healthcare is that way.

Also in 2015-2016 in Vietnam, I met a man who was a nurse and I believe his daughter was one too.

Something about the way he is and the way he tried to project was life is great in Vietnam or anywhere in the world if you do nursing.

I have a 3rd aunt that is a nurse. She is kind, healthy and nice. All her children are great!

Healthcare brings that in people and their families.
