What is the dynamic here in North America?

Only people born here and who have lived here 8 years understand the problems living in the West.

Simply, my father figured a way to have a family here in Canada by getting along with the majority and doing a family business.

But the kids suffered so much because the interaction outside placed our parents on the bottom rung.

Each child had to do school and get smart just to do normal daily business. The kids had to be proactive and be smart in life and school.

But that is only on face. That is the Western face. The immigrant parents know how to navigate the immigrant way. While the native children see things differently and have to play passive and serving.

In Vietnam that is opposite.

Therefore, immigrants are needed in the West to do their business even if it is culturally theirs. They have needs that are practical.

The needs of native people are different and are not 100% doable. Lots of thinking this and that. It doesn’t bring the expected potatoes and roast pork home for dinner everyday.

That is also why the US president married from the Old World to keep things practical 50:50.

Also if you are not practical 99.9999% of the time then what is the point of living?

You should project far … but seriously … if you are born in Canada you should marry a smart driven immigrant who came here on scholarship (never really from a rich family) to live practical and have your yearly birthday parties and summer and winter holidays.
