Updates (Dec 10, 2025)
So there is a need.
As a 2nd generation, I feel the need and urge to do stuff.
…
Do people realize it? Do people realize the underlying problem?
Yes …
…
Everything is 50:50.
…
For me as a Vietnamese I was lacking 2 things:
- History of industrial
- History of scientific work
But I realized that becomes accomplished by just addressing your needs. By just addressing what you need to accomplish these things.
Other people make fun of people, but at the end, it is just addressing you needs currently and that is the solution and at the core of those solutions they are industrial and scientific really.
So when people make fun of people in the West, you can simply ignore it and walk on because when people make fun of each other in the West it is North American bullying that doesn’t really have a solution. Not solution to solve the racism. All you can do is stay home and do your thing because the outside bullying in North America is stagnating. It doesn’t do anyone any good. And the solution is to build products.
Products are prove of your words.

The problem of being Vietnamese born in Canada is to assert yourself in mainstream society.
My ‘Canadian’ friends let me know that I am a dark person and am invisible naturally to ‘Canadians’. It takes some time to adjust to me. It takes them like 2 seconds to refocus to me.
They teach me and give me work which I accept because I am 2nd generation. 2nd generations want to work and prove themselves in Canada naturally.
But because I am an old, old fart, I can dabble in some stuff which can start some conversation with ‘Canadians’ and ‘Canadians’ don’t mind. A little thing here and there which they might glance at.
That is all.
…
The colored network don’t understand this concept above most of the time because sometimes they think the Indigenous Peoples don’t exist. Most of the time colored people play with their group only.
There is a lot of ‘Canadians’ that help. There are a ton of ‘Canadians’ helping me.
The immigrants come here expecting a lot.
But they have to realize it their Indigenous children are the ones that will have a similar life to mine at the end. The immigrants get upset but can hold their tongue because they did not realize how complex 1st gen, 2nd gen and 3rd+ gen work in North America. They are coming from a harmonious country back home and have to adjust really hard to accept diversity.

The cool thing about Tony Tie from Ajax, Ontario.
He is action driven. He was born in Thailand.
Without him I would be lost for life in Durham Region.
I worked from 2012 to 2024 to one day show him what I externally grew. Now we talk regularly.
In 2012, Tony Tie was in the news, teaching at Harvard and working for Fortune companies.
But was it that he was born the first child and being born in Thailand help? I think partially.
Why am I always scared and only want to do media?
So therefore, because of Tony and my needs, I did coding work to bring up my side.
Then both can do stuff together.
Again 50:50.
If Tony wasn’t strong action driven I would probably stay at home all day and never grow and just do media that had no logical backing making me fail flat … But not quite as I would seek other Vietnamese at the end. Again 50:50.
…
So what happened?
So 2nd generation, this wave of immigrant children from Vietnam, started to do stuff.
The next wave from Southeast Asia will do the same.
People farther East + South from the UK, more farther than Vietnam are coming.
Currently now in Southeast Asia, it is globalizing. Soon Indonesian, Malaysian, Bruneian and etc. are coming in waves to the North America and will play in the New World dynamic.

What is it like to talk to Vietnamese Boat People children?
Great!
Tammy Nguyen and I vibe on the same level.
When I first talked to her online, I knew she thinks like me.
That is why we have been working together for 6 years since 2021.
The Boat People journey changes a person. The Boat People experience is what makes us.
…
The thing with life is that … the importance to feel integrated and useful sometimes in North America especially.
…
My dad is an immigrant so he is still connected to homeland … that is what messes me up.
Most Vietnamese immigrants sponsor 1st and 2nd generation over.
…
I am born here and am split as I am 2nd generation with no first cousins here.
…
The problem is the 2nd, 3rd+ cousin that do reside in the West we are on different age groups and different feelings.
…
Positivity is something important. It is important to me. Important especially in the West.
So important in the West that it is a sign of productivity and growth and inclusion.

Developing software and products is a process of logic slowly. It is finding out what works and what is entertaining and makes the user excited to learn. It is a slow process of understanding what works and doesn’t work for humans. But at the end it is probably what you like, others will like …
When I was young visiting my local Staples (Business Depot) in Ajax, Ontario, I think I saw Mr. Wonderful (Kevin O’Leary) with the software manager there talking about his software lines. Mr. O’Leary saw how stuck I was as a Vietnamese boy born in Canada in Ajax and shared with me that learning is the most important thing and that I must absolutely learn or I am nothing. He also shared to me his vision. He made educational software that was also entertainment. That changed my perspective forever.
You make stuff like technology (software, user interfaces, interaction education) that is fun, enjoyable and addictive. Something to learn from that sucks you in to play and do more and learn.
Basically one point is that it is software. When people hear you make software they are like taken back. They will listen to what your software solutions does. This is apart from racism and culture. Software overrides closed thinking.
Mr. O’Leary is born in Montreal and is from junction countries.
Junction helps junction.
…
The process of building computer software takes some time.
Some people think it is easy and a 4 year degree is all you need.
Yes it is. But the easiest part of it is if you have a passion and also if you see it is a solution. A solution to most problems in the world.
…
The idea of perspectives.
Some people think so negative, some people thing so positive.
At the end people socialize and network to grow and cycle again the positive position and negative position that are grown.
Each time growing a new brain fold.
…
To get out of negative thinking 99.9999% of the time is to learn technology and programming. It is 100% programming really.
When you have a team of programmers you just think in solutions rather than polarization.
As long as you program you don’t think negative and you don’t polarize.
So if you are critical of people, that means you aren’t doing the programming necessary to keep busy thinking to solve and grow continually.
That means you become a new human being that programs forever and forever to abstain in polarization and grow the economy and grow the technology of the world.
…
If you program with a team like us, then you won’t be critical about anything.
If you develop a product line that is similar then there is no problems in life for you.
…
So if you program a solution that bothers you, then you solved a ‘you’ problem and then you are care free. Again solve it with programming as that is continual and not polarized.
…
When coming back to the Old World, you ask, what am I going to do there?
Is your presence wanted? Do you have to change to be accepted?
…
