Updates (Dec 3, 2025)
You realize this later as a Vietnamese born in Canada in Durham Region … BUT way out east like in Oshawa …
When you get old enough with a degree and some full time work years, Vietnamese from all parts of Canada (mainly in the GTA) will understand you …
Somewhere between Toronto and Oshawa, the Vietnamese there will understand you 95+%.
Then somehow when you make contact with other Vietnamese that are around your age, you start building networks and social cliques. You start building an understanding and grow.
Then you venture on a journey of life, discovery and self-discovery.
…
I went back to school in 2017, then met tons of Vietnamese from all 3 regions and even some born here in Canada.
I was so lucky that Canada opened its doors to immigration … globalization.
We initially found a common ground and understood each other and then we all grew together.
…
We all learned from each other and took chances and spots in society.
We had to do the things we needed to do.
…
That is the key thing people do and do not realize. Everything is 50-50.
If a person did not go that direction, I wouldn’t go mine.
We learn from each other.
…
The network that I have with Vietnamese in Durham Region and Toronto is pretty cool.
…
Then as I get older, I realize the light and solid connections I have with the Vietnamese females have built me over the years.
The key take away is that we are all Vietnamese at the end because our parents or we have Vietnamese souls. We are all connected.
We are all in this together out here in Durham Region and the GTA … that is what outsiders don’t see.
…
We want to strive for better and good things.
…
The people that criticize you …
You have to find out what generation they are in the New World.
Once you found that answer, that is all you need. You don’t need to answer back.
Different generations criticize differently. 2nd generation like me don’t bother saying anything. They know what I am doing is for my health and happiness.
…
Something I realized … with the team … with the old team.
Things just happened …
Refactoring was good …
Then came experimental …
Then came refactoring again …
Then came updating …
Repeat …
More and more coding and structure.
More dense and more complex …
All through refactoring, experimenting, updating, refactoring, experimenting, updating then implementing. That is the trick.
That is the trick in a first world country for health and long-term growth and benefits.
Was this normal? Is this the path you take? Is it intuition? Is it slight intuition?
…
More experimental. More pushing something out. Release something just because … Experiment. Try to impress, try to excite, try to have fun, try to stress??? Build. Show your results. Socialize. Vent. Blog. Build internal tools. Show your tools to your team. Repeat … Repeat until you get something valuable with all that networking.
