What I learned …
Life in Canada is good.
For me I just need to keep to myself and do my thing.
…
My father and I get into debates for the last 40 years.
I am 41 years old now.
The simple reason why I debate my father is that he doesn’t understand how Vietnamese born in Canada think naturally in their soul. We think Canadian.
Anyways but out in Scarborough, we can think like we are in Toronto and think we are from there and think multicultural.
My siblings don’t really understand that. To relax is to have alternative lifestyles is to live and work and study out in Toronto sometimes.
It may not be the same atmosphere as Durham Region like Oshawa but gives you new perspectives and a place to chill and think different.
I collaborate with people living near Toronto all the time and that is why I have what I have too.
…
My father says to me he grew up into an independent man that he is when he was 22 years old in Vietnam. Now he is in his 70s.
I realized it took me until 41 years old here in Canada to do the same because of 2 things really:
- Pursuing my passions until I got more than I can handle. More than I can handle is the most important part …
- Talk to Vietnamese born in Canada who talk with the same heart and Canadian mindset with no barriers or layers in between. Talk like we are in the same room even though we are 100’s miles apart.
My father grew up working class. He worked farming and going to school at the same time. He had so much growth experiences in his young years that he became solid at 22 years of age. Simple like that??? Kind of a math logic growth game. Do stuff …
…
I am stressed out here in Oshawa. I was born in Oshawa but I lived my life out in Ajax for half of my life when I was young.
What did living out in Oshawa teach me? It grew me to the man I am today but stressed. This location makes you work like this.
…
Changing location changes you. I moved from (Harwood Ave and Kingston Rd) in Ajax to near (Harmony Rd and Taunton Rd) in Oshawa and that changed my trajectory for life.
Is it simple science? Yes it is! Longitude and Latitude can change a person.
But is it right? Yes and no.
Yes, because I changed my frequency and doing stuff that takes energy and time more now.
No, because I used to be very chill in Ajax. I had time to myself to socialize and do whatever …
But I was born in Oshawa so God let me return back to Oshawa???
…
Having the opportunity to do what I wanted as a child changed my life to be healthier and mindful.
Now I have an opinion and can see things as they are. I can help my older brother see his opposites now.
My dad and older sister just work daily out in public and aren’t concerned about my life and my needs. They grow and constantly change to be more and more Canadian out in public.
But if I was to work like my older sister I don’t have the protection of being a female. I get badly stereotyped at least twice a week working part time in the past. Even working part time as a 33 year old man back in 2016 I get bullied. There is no full time work really. Possibly get bullied more doing full time …
I guess God put me in this seat where I do what I wanted in grade 6? Doesn’t everyone know the right way to live without being constantly stereotyped? Yes, it is all intuition and given at birth in your country of birth. Everyone knows how to avoid getting bullied. It might take some practice but everyone knows …
…
After growing up like my father because finally I have supports that connect to my heart, I see that in life people can either help you or see you slightly less so they are always in the positive …
People working out in the public daily with jobs that cater or serve to the general public people will always be generally thought of slightly more positive.
But what if your dreams are ‘this and that’ … what about my dreams as a grade 6 kid here in Canada?
But do thinking positive of others require a change in location? Isn’t it science?
After getting scolded so hard in 2016 working nights in a supermarket here in Oshawa for not working hard like other Oshawa people, I changed gears. I grew up in Ajax for 20+ years … It is simple as that … It is all location based. But now I need to move for a balanced life and have a family of my own. I got to move West or back home.
Oshawa is known for its automobile industry. People need to work together and work in unison for things to work. Oshawa location has this affect on people. It is stressful …
