Updates (February 2, 2025)
Socializing and networking with other Vietnamese from Vietnam has given me growth.
I learned mechatronics from my friend An Xuan Phan.
That is everything: computer, engineering and robotics. Building projects on both the software and mechanical side. That is really cementing in the real world practically. You need real world practical stuff.
On the other hand, working with Ben Cybulski is also great. It is new thinking “unbounded”. It is bounded but not. It takes time to understand his ideas. But it is freeing. His ideas have no bounds. I think you eventually learn everything working with Ben … Everyone should look and take into account his projects and ideas to see.
…
I am getting old now. I feel a little withered now. What is the next steps for life?
…
After socializing with An Xuan Phan, I realized my world needs more maths and engineering. I guess learning from other Vietnamese has helped me see this route of unlimited growth. That is what I was missing.
…
I guess in the West it is this … You have to strive for growth otherwise you get stuck in hedonistic feelings and run down. That is all it is.
…
What I learned from Vietnamese in medical professions in the West:
- You go with the flow of the main cultures and stereotypes in the West.
- You know your place in the West as a Vietnamese person. It has good and bad stereotypes that have been perpetuated for 50 years since the Vietnam War.
- You keep quiet. People know the good and bad things about stereotyping and labelling in the West. People only go so far to enforce their power, ego, culture and thinking, mindset and personality.
- There is a balance of culture and power that is maintained in the medical field that is found in the media.
- Being in the medical profession as a Vietnamese person you are labelled pretty smart. But they don’t expect anything new and exciting but your Vietnamese old historic culture reiterating itself, both good and bad.
This is how to function in the medical field I think as a Vietnamese person … This is what I see now after socializing. But this is also how to have a balanced life in the West too. You can not just work with the greats all day as that is unbalanced somewhat. But if you don’t grow as a person with the greats, then nothing changes really. You might have a balanced life and grow somehow living and working as a medical professional in the city. If you don’t push then you might fall. Are you studying the greats as a medical profession too? I guess yes at many levels. I guess I am working solo too much and don’t have a balanced life.
…
I guess it was normal of me to go off on a tangent and finally get to this place where I am old now. I guess other Vietnamese and other people do the same.
I feel old now. I learned enough now. Now I need a balanced life.
Did I do enough? I think yes. I can start something now.
…
If I did not go off on a tangent and do my thing, I would not know how to define myself and have the mindset of unlimited growth when I am in my element. That is why it is important to develop your own interests and do your own thing for your stability and health and growth. Let no one define you. People can say whatever they want, old or young but when you took 8 years developing your mind and skills, then no one can bother you. Not even the president or prime minister.
This is what people don’t really teach. You are supposed to go the farthest you can, so far. This is your intuition and soul speaking. Not defined by your parents or “friends”.
As a man born in the West, people don’t help others really. It is up to you to do things on your own and there are supports that enable you to do so solo if you want. So all things are safe really in the West. Do your own thing and one day work with same frequency people and the greats. Greater people than you.
…
This is the reoccurring theme I have with my blog:
I did school, lived life, got jobs, went to do my dreams, worked, worked with the greats and finally tired and spent. AND improved my thinking by working with same frequency people and Vietnamese people. AND you can improve 1000% by working with the greats.
…
After seeing An Xuan Phan work and grow, that made me startled. More growth and unlimited growth is what is life.
…
I see this in the Vietnamese born in the West … We have this mentality like this is it. This is what it is. We are Vietnamese/coloured people doing what we can passing time in the West.
It is dull and boring and stops you. It is like we know it all already. And it is somewhat depressive. All the media and culture that we are exposed to when we are young has made us full and desensitized. The solution is growth with the greats.
…
But I am learning more now, that you have to have a balanced life. All this is a lot and was needed. Understanding both ends was needed and more.
…
What am I like without the financial obtaining and striving for more? I realize this now after socializing more and more. I realize this with Vietnamese people.
I was on the constant go before. Now I see how I am really in the comfort of Vietnamese peoples. I am a pretty chill positive guy.
