Growth and Gains
Below is life that happens when you get older at middle-age if you haven’t had a family yet. This is after you had your youth of fun and growing and exploring.
This below is adult stuff about growing and maturing when you are older and still want a family and kids and a life of growth and maturity and even ‘balance’.
HEALTHCARE
Scenario: When I was 35 years old, I decided to do routine work in healthcare. I was going to take care of people basically first starting from the bottom going to college for healthcare.
Problems: I wasn’t taking care of myself for ego and growth as a Vietnamese coloured man as I thought this was enough to live and have a family. I wasn’t going to grow as a Western man really even though I was born in the West. Spending the next 50+ years doing the same thing healthcare wasn’t so appealing. It was routine and little growth in a small world? It was some guaranteed money ($85+K a year and pension) to take care of yourself and your family.
Positives: Some Westernized women know the problem of living entrepreneurial. Some women expect a man just to do routine healthcare work to have a family with them. Being entrepreneurial is a life of reaching which is healthy but goes on forever with no end. But it is soooo healthy growing and being more. But it is nice to have a family with a Westernized women who understand the duality of life of living in the West doing entrepreneurial work or healthcare. Vietnamese born in Canada know this really well. They know this at grade 0 and will marry you because of lifestyle and not about asking for things and money.
Lifestyle: You can do healthcare and still try to do other things. It would probably be impossible to do more in Canada with the amount of work and hours they give. But your partner who is Westernized who understands everything would accept it. Just do healthcare and have your life and pension and whatever. You live in the West and there is nothing to worry about. You still learn passively doing your healthcare job.

CODER
Scenario: When I was 36 years old, I decided to go away from healthcare and do coding. I was going to live educated for the rest of my life fully.
Problems: There is no problems really. It is all good and healthy but the money is the problem and starting a family. Most projects don’t make money. Building skills takes decades until it is almost OK.
Positives: You live healthy all day if you are born in Canada with nothing to worry about. Everyone respects you. You move the meter ahead when doing your thing. People are scared of messing with you because you are a thinker. You might get published and recognized doing your thing. All it takes is just dedication and experience of life to become settled thinking like this for all the positives. When you are young you are just inexperienced. Once you travelled the world and experienced life like even marriage, you realize living smart as a coder is probably the best in the West.
Lifestyle: You live like a coder. The ultimate form is like Linus Torvalds really. If you reach this level, you have become Westernized 200% and set an example for other Vietnamese to live a full life in the West. Vietnamese will aspire to be Westernized and like you maybe. No complaints just pure coding all day ignoring whatever because this is growth and feels good being smart and sharp with your own angle that has merit.

TEACHER
Scenario: When I was 41 years old, I am thinking of just living and teaching the basics. Even work in tutor centres for the basic pay if I can’t land a teaching job in schools.
Problems: There is no problems really. My skills and education has taken decades. I can teach that to young 9 year old students. It will also take the kids decades to reach my level so I can always teach young people and the next generation and the next generation and so on. The problem is that you can not really grow singularly so forward. You now have a life of taking care of people and their education but not yours really.
Positives: You live healthy all day teaching young people. You just have enough money to live which is OK if you live in Canada with citizenship.
Lifestyle: You socialize and talk and drink beverages and have snacks teaching young people.
