So you have to have your father around till the end of time.

So my father says to live modestly.

If I lived modestly, I would not think beyond him as the last boy in the family.

To understand your father is to study opposite to what he says so you get the knowledge to live to do your thing and understand him.

Things I learned from him.

Accept the fate of being Vietnamese in society in the broadest normal safe Vietnamese stereotype.

After I did my thing this year, I could see my flaws and his flaws.

If you act or dress really off, that draws attention, then that is no good.

There is a way coloured folk dress and act that is respectful in all cultures.

You might know it when you are young (old man stereotype) … but it is to be open to talking and getting old to mature so that you can give out everyday hard working wisdom but humble.

Just work. That is the thing of coloured folk that we can live with. When you are known at the worker bee in the hive no judgement on you.
