What I learned from Vietnamese/Asians families in Canada.
The wife works 1000% hard to have a family. They aren’t going around partying really. They work and study 12 hours days. They are the pillars of society. They are the ‘women’.
They actually choose the husband who can work and is obedient to start the ‘family business’.

The woman takes care of the household, is 200% proud of herself, works 12hr shifts, decides everything, has families.

If the woman has a past of partying, hooking up and not studying … things might be questionable.

The secret is that the women that work 12 hour shifts are the real women of society/world. They want a family and stability and a future and beyond. And they lock it in until death seeing their great grandchildren.

In that case, if I move to Scarborough to live, the Asian culture there will make the wife the pillar of the household.

Out here in Oshawa, I was forced to work because I felt like manure living in GM country. I had to man up since 2008 living in Oshawa.

My culture is naturally Asian. But it is An Giang province SEA. So that means either I go back home to Vietnam to marry and live or have a wife that understand the complexities of being An Giang male.

The problem of living in North America I realize now is trying to work hard and not recede.

People really try to push each others buttons. But when you gone through life like me and others you realize if you don’t push to live, you recede. Any criticism is crap at this point because its from youngsters who don’t see what you matured to.

There is a cool new thing I realized with made up AI personalities. People are pushing the idea that there are Vietnamese AI personalities that push and test the boundaries of what it is to be Vietnamese modernly and even backwards. Today’s generation are slightly positive of being Vietnamese portrayed in a better light because this generation is forward with the use of new technologies like AI. Yes there are some old people that see Vietnamese as negative but really the new generation are testing and trying new things. Genes changed residing in the West, Gene genetic shift. It literally took 3 decades to see positivity in the new generation. My generation is bad lol.

If I lived in Scarborough, life would be so different. I would be accepted by the Asians really.
Asian culture and heritage would reign and be practiced as it is expected and normal … but what did I do over here in Oshawa for the past 15 years working with Westerners? Did that not help change things a bit? Now we are talking about diversity and location now …

There used to be a Vietnamese family living in Bowmanville. Living that way you marry outside.

I don’t have a family yet. If I had a kid things will change. I will work accordingly to my location. That was the problem before. Not having a kid made me stagnant and go back to school complaining doing this blog and such.
The point is to have a strong woman marry the man to start a family and go. It is not about making tons of money and working at Fortune 20 companies making your mark. It is about OK work in healthcare and having a family so things go complete.
All this software building and websites did not mean much. It was nice to push and do stuff. But life revolves around having children first and good jobs like healthcare work.
Doing all this work makes you go into far tangents that never come back down. Keeping on working this way I will never have a closed life.

Some Vietnamese from Vietnam and some Vietnamese from the West have this ‘Vietnamese identity’
They are seen as Vietnamese and have to protect their identity.
Those are the women that are prideful.
10,000 years of history, these Vietnamese try to show up everyday here in the West.
You can see who is prideful or not.
Since 2020, I shifted gears and tried out understanding what it is to be Vietnamese and now we are here.
