Without the North Vietnamese displaying and doing their culture over here in Canada, none of what I have done for the past 8-9 years would be nothing.

Like I am South Vietnamese and go with whatever the flow is. That makes me think shallow but workable presently.

When North Vietnamese tried hard to become independent, so did I.

In Durham Region that meant something. Seeing the North Vietnamese push and exhibit individualism in Canada was wowing.

Towards Vancouver, people are more cultural and culturally sensitive. There is a limit out there that can not be budged.

In Durham Region you got to do some work. Work for GM. It is not about yourself.

This is real.

How the Vietnamese overseas conduct their business here in North America gets noticed.

I reacted.

This is how I conducted business in Durham Region …

  1. I knew about multiculturalism in Canada/World so I went to school initially in Scarborough.
  2. I knew forward people lived in Whitby and more East and North. Western people would stay home all day doing their hobbies out in Whitby and Eastward not caring about what is happening anywhere in the world really because it is the hobbies that makes the world … The world is taken cared for really … It is what you do that you like and want to progress that makes it more and forward.
  3. When Vietnamese arrived to college in Durham, I noticed what they were lacking and took it into account. Most Vietnamese from Vietnam had $200-300K+ to use up to finish school. Their parents sold land or accumulated enough wealth for them to study peacefully without worry in the West. Some are poor and are relying on the connections and ties with people here. So it depends.
  4. What did I do? With Viktor Phan I help lead the Vietnamese Student Group out here in Durham. I exposed how really life is after 2-5 years of school. I worked so many jobs that I showed life is pretty normal once you get out there and work. But to excel is another story. That is what I was lacking in the beginning. I wasn’t living for myself. I was a pawn in the system for like 3 decades. I showed the Vietnamese here that I was a pawn in the system …
  5. To excel was to meet individualistic people and people who like to live for themselves.
  6. I did live for myself for like the past 8 years but …
  7. The real deal is to study Maths all day I think.
  8. The second real deal is to build your own platform like WordPress.
  9. But then what is life beyond work? It is probably still Maths and WordPress at the end of the road once you have accomplished enough.
  10. Coffee and tea and biscuits
