Things I am learning:
- It took a lot of socializing to understand life was to get skilled to a point where you can do most things.
- If you understood the Western culture and yours and others, you can be creative too and live a thinking, researching, developing life in Canada.
- But all this takes time and you must live in all cultures to understand. Lots of time and socializing and experiencing.

I am at the point where I realize life in Canada maybe researching and developing somewhat. I am old now and experienced a lot.
…
My dad told me the real way to live is to be hungry. Therefore other people will learn and grow seeing your example. And things and life will improve.
…
There has to be hunger and some anxiety in life. Like feeling left behind.
…
I am doing stuff right now. I learned that my way will work out because everyone has something unique they want to strive for. I always knew this. People want to stand out. It gives reason for people.
…
Maybe doing what you want in Canada is the only way to live in the West? The traditional Asian way of doing professional jobs is OK. But to feel really good and unperturbed by what is going on, you do your thing.
…
The really flexible and stable people are always busy in their mind and doing stuff they like. That is the goal I am trying to achieve now after learning and trying so hard to get the skills that I have. I think if you think life as this way of learning all the necessary skills of life then focusing on what you enjoy the most then life is good in the West.
…
The best way for an Asian man to live I think was what I learned 20 years ago. Focus on learning and work. But the step farther is doing your thing and see what happens.
…
The cool thing I learned about the Western experience is that you can really delve deep into your goals and talents outside alone. That is the real way to live good and smart and confident and OK. I saw this in Peterborough, Ontario where everyone is minding their own business thinking doing what they like being a professional.
