Updates (January 19, 2025)
Things I have learned:
- Everyone is smart when they get old. The average age is 35 is when they start changing if they had a normal Western upbringing of fun and games first. If they have a lot of smarts or experiences first growing up (relationships and socialized with lots of friends from different backgrounds and places), they change quicker and do normal milestones quicker. Race and culture don’t matter no more at 35+. Everyone is can attain the smarts. This is what they don’t teach you in life and in schools when you are 19-25 years old. You can go back to school and do just as good as everyone else at middle-age. Young people and teachers can not do nothing as they have tunnel vision in the negative stereotypes of systems and institutions. Then they realize that knowledge and skills is a result of old age and experiences which is the old universal adage. I waited till I was old and worked enough to see this through. So if you are scared, stuck and stressed, just take your time and things will work out. Just wait.
- I guess the dynamic of life in the West is really to work with the greats: Ben and Dmitry for me. I was born and grew up very Western. That means I experienced almost everything good and bad from school to work. The only thing left for a Westerner like me to get out of negative thinking is to work with the greats. I see that makes sense now. If I work normally with people, I might think negative like everyone else in the West and live so Western with all it’s problems and also good things. But mostly problems because I am coloured??? as this is a classist systemic way of life in the West. Therefore, to stop stagnating and ruminating, people have to work for the greats. Other people worked for Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. I guess my generation will work with people like Ben Cybulski.
- The more experiences and people you meet from all backgrounds and working backgrounds and social career levels, then you realize no one understands anyone really. The farther the range you meet and see, you realize no cares as much as you do and you only have your own thinking. This is different from going to high school and post secondary and working routine jobs. The more extended your are, the more different you are and distant everyone else is. The more experienced and entrepreneurial a person is, the more different they are.

What I learned from Vietnamese born in Canada:
- We used to turn to other cultures when we were younger but overtime when we get older we start thinking of our own culture. We start to question our culture and think about living in our culture … maybe improving our culture if we can and want.
- We are excited over food. We look at doing fusion and new takes on Vietnamese food. We even indulge in expensive offerings of Vietnamese pho and banh mi.

Why I don’t post photos and videos is because I grew up in the 1990’s when tech was text based. I feel comfortable in this old way medium. I think it works well. Text is very good. It speaks sometimes better than images and video.

What I learned from doing everything I ever wanted and more:
- You have to see the other side of life. Excel to the greatest thinking. That means do what you like but work with the greats.
- As an Asian man in the West, you should really concentrate on work and education. It is the only path of only positive value. There is no negatives for this. Don’t listen to anyone telling you to work differently. They are from a different energy and culture.
- But concentrating on work and education won’t give you a family and house and car really if it is extreme like working with the greats like Ben I think. I should have a normal job now. It doesn’t impress Vietnamese from Vietnam that you studied your entire life as life is to have kids and a family. Most jobs in Canada allow you to have a family. I did my goals and now I live now. Also if you don’t work with the greats then what is your normal pursuits? Your pursuits mean something but is not much if compared to the greats??? Should you compare? What conclusion do you come too? Working on your passions, working with the greats, working together on group projects?
