Why does Vietnamese people have such bad stereotypes?

  1. The two superpowers (India and China) have a say first since the Funan period.
  2. The Wars over the last 10,000 years was control of the rich abundant rice, agriculture and fish of Red River Delta and Mekong Delta near the open ocean. The many wars caused stop of education buildup and culture buildup to 100% scientific culture (maths). For example, it only took me 37 years of study in the West just like every other specialist doctor to have a firm grip of life. With my team we created one of the most popular Windows Debloaters that was radiobutton based, user updatable through text files and through GUI which created customized sharable transparent scripts. Life is all about long uninterrupted education for decades like neurosurgeons in the West. Neurosurgeons study until they are late 30s or early 40s. So everyone should try to ride education out in a first world country.
  3. We must play dumb and share because we come from an highly rich agricultural country. We must not be selfish as that is cruel. We must share and become Buddhist.
  4. Eventually the other countries next to us become Vietnamese as they enter and live. So there is no point of real fighting. When other peoples become Vietnamese, things are just swell. We become family.

People say it is sometimes bad to understand history and world history …

But in my case … you eventually learn it because it is actually encoded in your genes. You seek to find the answers to your life and decisions you make daily. And it is written somewhere or told by an elder.

Do we become family when born and living in Canada with other cultures and races?

First, we become Canadian.

But we all do see ‘the other’.

So at the end we seek people with similar looks and same history for coloured people born in Canada I think.

Do immigrants from the last 10 – 20 years understand what life is like in Canada?

The Boat People generation understand a little more??? or different???

But what I learned from the 1990s wave of Vietnamese immigrants was to be upfront with your emotions and feelings out in the open through whatever medium.

That is what Nam Nguyen taught me through socializing with him and reading his book “A Perfect Bowl of Pho”.

After having the ability to vent and let out my stressors then I could grow.

I did not have a lot of people or a medium to vent when I was in university in the early 2000s.

The new generation of Vietnamese finally went all out expressing themselves and growing to reach the impossible.

I guess culture does change and the generation you are born in can help and help others.

In another way … life is about expression.

Even if life is opposite here in Canada for Funanese people like my family, can you circumvent that by daily blogging? Venting your stressors?

I am not sure. Friends of the family moved back to the Old World to have a family decades ago. Remember I am in my 40s.

There is one Vietnamese family from Bowmanville that moved to the Middle East to teach English as a second language.

Vietnamese are considered brown people really.

Is it OK for brown people like Vietnamese to teach Canadian English in the Middle East? That is where we first originated from.

Growing up thinking … now grown … life is whatever here.

It gets to the point whether you really want to move back to the Old World or not.

Maybe more North and Eastern?

But I am quite content with the dynamics. The dynamics makes this so far.

2023 after finishing school … Vietnamese from Vietnam can relate to me I think.

Over the course of 50 years after the Vietnam War … many, many, many Vietnamese overseas have shared experiences and knowledge of how it is in the West to their fellow Vietnamese back home in Vietnam.

What did I do? What I did was basically what any old 40+ year old Vietnamese man born in Canada would possibly do. There is no secret, no hidden underlying message.

David and his brother and family just got so grossly old and withered that they started to talk about ‘old, old’ life after prime young adulthood. The last stage …

What work you do and pursue when flashy red sports cars aren’t what you are driving.

You are supposed to get old and accept that right???

I realized in life … you can only ask for one thing in life.

In 2020, after I realized healthcare was something great and to serve was Godly. I realize the life of serving. Then I went mostly to full external growth to fulfill that area and see.

Then I realized after 6 years, society is so messed up. Who is controlling society? Who is telling people this and that …

You can see current new singers trying to sing perfect like angels and even try to look like supermodels at the same time.

Does that work? No really.

You are only allowed one talent in life, just one or you will mess up your entire first world life.

Single subject really.

Or otherwise you will never feel 100% go-go.

No one is special really now I think after realizing the above … I am seeing singers pop up in my feed on Streaming services trying to make it big while doing 100 things at once.

Did God allow everyone to have 10000000 talents at once? Maybe yes? Maybe no? But seriously the best singers and artists just are good at one area.

You see this when you get old, old.

Yes you can do a lot of stuff to get there and try out stuff to learn breadth but it doesn’t make sense to say people are multitalented in society unless … you are doing something generational and a specialize work???

That means after 2020, I turned inward and just did computers. My area is computer utility software. That is all it is.

All I can do is show people how I did it. Show other how to become a software utility developer.

Everyone at 10PM at night is doing something they like. They are browsing YouTube for something interesting. That is all life is.

If you don’t solo doing research in a specific area of interest then nothing makes sense in the First World.

The talkback and classmates that tell you otherwise are out of their minds. You see this when you get middle-aged.

If you aren’t researching a specific area or your interest in the First World then what are you doing in the First World with all it’s fancy infrastructure and services?

This and that can happen. The racist dynamic between races and people can happen but what are they doing bothering you if they also are born here in the First World? Does it really add? Does it really add to your enjoyment? It is there though …

Are you actually learning anything interesting and worthwhile if you aren’t researching a specific area of your interests 80% of the time?

God was so nice to allow everyone life. God was nice to allow everyone to have interests. But what do people do?

Luckily, I have an interest that I am able to handle without too much stressors.

Like at my age of 41 years old, turning 42 in March, I realized life is like is “whatever” here in Canada.

I am supported nicely by the Canadian people and am able to pursue my passions. But life is nice with ample warm heating and cool enough AC during the summer with really good inexpensive instant coffee and inexpensive milk.

What more can I ask for here in Canada? What more can I ask for?

God allowed me to pursue my one dream. I do computers and specifically just do computer utility software. God gave me the chance.

How to avoid thinking negative and ‘coloured’ …

Think about the things that interested you 1,000% genuinely. That will stop racists.

As a 2nd generation Vietnamese born in Canada, I finally realized the racism I endured was just because I did not pursue my passions 10,000% my way away from naysayers. When you have interests and you pursue them for over a long period then you surpass general likes and dislikes and go on an adventure.

When you have interests in a specific area, pursue that for 5 years, and push another 1-2 years that is all you need. Then nothing will bother you.
