What is life in the West?

I guess life in the West is just doing your own thing at the end.

People can change your views or add to it.

But at the end of the day, life is regional.

I grew up in Durham Region and just live the Durham Region life as a 2nd generation.

Is it good or bad?

It was what my parents born me into.

It is nice to have contrast of neighbouring areas but at 10:00 pm what are you doing for the next 5 hours?

I am doing what I like in Durham.

After debating so much …

I realized the cool truths of life.

Life is about cooking.

Living in the Western hemisphere you are allowed all the ingredients of the world at affordable prices.

Life is good as long as you got inexpensive good ingredients.

Life is about doing stuff.

You have to perform.

As long as you are doing stuff (creating stuff) that is all you need to be doing.

How I feel …

Because I was born in Oshawa and spent more than half my life in Ajax … I am ‘alone’.

But Oshawa people and further East and North talk to me regularly. Because they feel sorry for me.

Life and Acting …

We know who we are at our baseline but that depends on the country (location).

In Vietnam, I get along naturally with certain people BUT I am still an outsider from Canada …

In Canada, am I acting? No, being full South Vietnamese really is bad in every scenario.

All I have is myself, me and I when working and living in public.

I carry the most negative but nice Vietnamese Westernized stereotype with me on my sleeve so I never feel perturbed around people.
