  • Being an ‘outlier’ …

When you are an outlier developing software, you go around and see stuff not seen before.

The combination of being not seen and seeing more is what makes ‘the’ software.

Normally in a group setting in elementary school, everyone is accounted for and everyone listens to the guy who has it worst. He/she includes the stragglers including him/herself.

The guy who has it worst is the outlier and at the bottom overall.

But depending on this and that, he accounts for some people and not others or all.

The key thing is that he is new and learning.

    So positivity is at play.

Vietnamese finally have freedom after the Vietnam War. Of course if they play their cards right and self-reflect entirely, they will learn and take advantage of learning because of simply freedom to think and do and learn.

  • Earning the cert made me …

    I went 2 ways.

    1. I got labelled the IT Cert Viet kid.
    2. I am Canadian so whatever … I could be making handmade dumplings in some kitchen in Toronto or Vancouver. Who cares in Canada as long as you enjoy your food you make.
  • Simply you have to go and be positive

Where my parents are from is a negative and a negative.

Born in Canada is a negative …

    What does that produce?

You have no choice at the bottom but to go up against all norms or you don’t feel good.

As a 2nd generation Vietnamese born in Canada, all I can do is stay home and produce positive things otherwise I will be cleaning snot all day.

It got to a point where if I want a 20+ year healthcare government pension, I clean for 20+ years.

  • Earning the Cert

In 1998, David Nguyen from Ajax, Ontario, Canada earned a CompTIA A+ IT certificate.

    Why did he do it?

    Numerous reasons.

Mainly to get a sense of purpose to get out of trouble.
