Why I dropped out of Comp Sci in 2009

I had an idea what university was like in 2001-2002 when I was in grade 13 OAC. I thought it was just like in the American movies of young adults growing up, finding themselves, finding a proper wife and work after.

The reality of going to post-secondary is having power, might be staying racist because the people in power are also ‘kind of racist’? and pushing the systemic system which is normal for the last 10,000 years everywhere around the world.

‘Levels’ do kind of make sense as there will be always ‘levels’. But if everyone was one shade of colour then what? Height, shape, weight and age will matter secondary?

How do you go around everything?

You just do what you like in grade 6. This is before you understood colour, power and women … or simply getting middle-aged and hitting the midlife crisis of North American culture. Then making the decision to live happy mellowing out over coffee and donuts.
