Growing up in Canada, I accepted the stereotypes by my classmates and other people growing up since the 1990s.
…
Even in today’s society 2026, I let people show me the way and the door …
I don’t want trouble and once they realize I am respectful and have jogged a mile with some life knowledge they accept me. It is hard to get accepted once you have done stuff like this.
The answer is all nice life knowledge. If you share that 40 years of life knowledge you have that goes full circle, then you are golden and a friend.
It is that ‘circle’ people need to hear. Only if you completed the life circle journey, people will listen and respect you naturally, even if they aren’t willing or know at first.
To gain any respect is to walked a 1000 miles in any direction really. Then you got stuff.
…
Anyways, because I accept the negative stereotypes that makes me weak since the beginning of time, I have not prepared a comeback or thought things through.
Heck, I have been lounging around for half my life watching cartoons.

Immigrants on the other hand from Vietnam are always running toe-to-toe with the latest scientific and world news.
They want out of Vietnam.
They want to study at the prestigious schools of the world.
They want to work at Fortune 20 companies making their mark and making a difference.
…
That is why if you are born in the West with people stereotyping your race at all times, it might be better to move back home or just work with your immigrant fellow men in the West.
…
This is a lot to process.

Also Vietnam is considered an independent country which can be good and bad.
It is mostly good once you realize no one likes no one really at the end of the day. Like we do and have to care for each other but you got to be compatible someway.
People want their family and their kin taken cared for. At the end of the day people want some steak and seasoned roasted potatoes for dinner.
Nothing else in Canada really matters once you have those 3 taken cared for. Canada is a nice place to do all this really. And that is the point …
…
In Canada what matters?
Does working with your culture matter or does mixing out matter more?
Who did you fall in love with? Does love matter?
Or is everything based on 90% compatibility checklist? If most boxes check off then are you golden?
But there is always that woman out there willing to talk to you even if you don’t know what is going on … hehehe.
