I was born in Oshawa and raised mostly in Ajax, Ontario.
What advantages did I have compared to other Vietnamese Boat People?
What disadvantages did I have to endure?
Basically because we are Funan people we get along with everyone and are neutral.
At the end of the day … life is 50:50.
Regardless of how your perspective is … it is really all 50:50.
Anyways, in kindergarten I realized life is OK in Canada as a person born here.
I had 120 years of life.
I could take my time.
I could run.
But what was fun?
Taking the time to do what you love as a child born in Oshawa and growing up in Ajax.
But the problem is that in Ajax, I was daydreaming all day. No action.
The move to Oshawa made me practical and made me work.
