Why going to post-secondary is really odd for students born in Canada

Life is good when you are sitting there with your friends and family eating.

Eating out or eating in is such a nice enjoyable time. Great to let it out and laugh and enjoy life in Canada.

Many food company founders like McDonalds and KFC got founded years later while they were in 50s/60s. Not when they were college or university students.

Things had to come together to make things work.

It is a combination of time, life and the things you want to do and things you want a bit. Also enjoyment of daily life and life itself.

But when I was going to school at Scarborough university, I was met with immigrants who pushed me???

Even immigrants who are 50+ years old librarians would compete with young teenage students making their mark and controlling the territory for themselves and their kin???

Was life a competition at university in Scarborough and more West???

I went to work after 2nd year university in Durham Region for about a year and when I came back nothing made sense.

The world outside was at least 100x bigger than university when I look back in my 20s.

I finished my degree pretty easily after working in the real world. I did my school work, passed my exams and did not stay around because of university was a competition that I would lose at even if I did my passions.

Somehow the “Asian immigrant” thinking overpowers the Durham Region thinking of me who is just learning and exploring and having fun the Durham Region way.

The “Asian immigrant” thinking to suppress, overtake and control is on at all times in Scarborough and more Westward from immigrants mostly.

So I lived the Durham Region lifestyle (which is different from the West) and am semi-retired now. I basically retired at in 2021 when Ben, I and the team worked together releasing our own software.

Our software became a part of government and is used by IT staff in schools around the Oshawa area.

So what is life? Was life working 23.5+ hours a day like Scarborough and more West competing until you are groggy? or can life be like people in Durham Region and more East? What is the difference between Toronto and Durham Region?

But at the end you kind of need to know both. What to do and what do avoid.

I grew up in Oshawa and Ajax where things are different from the West.

When I go to Scarborough, immigrants teach me the proper way to live which is pure 1000% competition, racism and family and blood ties???

So I am in Durham Region living more their way a bit. We are just learning …

You can change if you outer marry.

But this is a classic immigrant to native debate.

If you have native kids, most will get along and learn together for the most part. At least everyone can have a descent life as a native. Like you can be a hobbyist and sell your crafts.

Immigrants come in and change the rhythm. Even 2nd generation do too.

At the end of the day. 2nd gen work is the middle ground. They work with everyone mostly.
