I am stuck in work and making money because …
- I maybe the poster child of Boat People success because I went out and earned a CompTIA A+ Information Technology certificate in 1998. I am from Canada and one of the first to do something that outwardly.
- Vietnamese origin
PROBLEM
People generally see Vietnamese as ‘bad people’. But after 50 years after the Vietnam War the whole world realizes the reason why they are bad is because other people put them down and limit them and want to see them be the scape goat of society. That has to change because if the Boat People fail (no business, no family, no build up of culture and no accumulation of money) that means there won’t be any immigration from Asia or anywhere. Other people must treat Vietnamese ‘very well’ so the whole process of world immigration occurs all over the world. If Vietnamese can not start a family in the West with fair supports for their children’s mental well-being then Vietnamese will self eject back to Vietnam to start businesses and families. That was what I was told by health professionals in Canada … better go back to the Old World if you are like me.
WEST
| General People | The Canadians want David to mix with other Canadians and have a general life working. Basically mix out and then ‘whatever’ … |
| Immigrants | Canada is multicultural and there are wars currently on. Who side is David on? Does being 2nd generation mean anything as there is so much divide in the USA and the world right now? Is it a cycle? |
| Old people | The older people know the world turns and turns because of money. You choose the people that create the ‘modern family’ in the West with a house, car, 3 complete meals a day and soccer practice for the children. That means 2nd generation understands this mostly |
SOUTHEAST
| Asians in General | Racism at the core mostly. Asia is racist because that is just the way things are. It counters the West thinking. |
| Work success | Only countries that are in Forbes top 20 multinational companies have merit. So if you are a Vietnamese guy you must develop, develop and develop for decades and decades to reach global status. But it is quite easy. See after Table. But at the end the races that invent your smartphone and your computer are seen at the top. If you are not them your degree, diploma and your skillset are secondary maybe. |
RESOLUTION
So 50 years after the Vietnam War. 2nd generation kids are ready to mingle after studying for 2 – 3 decades.
What do they encounter in the West? Systemic levels of life and work.
…
Was it right to import Vietnamese people into the West? In Asia, Vietnamese are regarded as junction people but really seen badly as they are at the end points.
They are seen as the children’s children of Brown people from West to East from Iran.
They are seen as barbarians of the South from North to South from East Asians.
…
But really since WWII, the rapid development of Asia by the Western nations created the current 2026 people from Asia to be laxed a bit but this depends on circumstance.
For example, I studied for 37 years and finally made a product with my team that is popular since 2021: Windows 1x Debloaters.
That means it takes 3 decades of work to make something of themselves including a 2nd generation Vietnamese born in Canada.
3 decades of work???
Depending on need and circumstances, 3 decades ain’t a lot or little.
That means anyone can do it if they are born in the First World by ignoring the barriers of systemic levels and naysayers at institutions, companies and schools.
All you have to do is work with similar frequency friends in your interests in the ‘real world’ while grabbing your ‘Double-Double’ coffee and Honey Crueler at your favourite donut and coffee chain at a great value.
It should be OK to be back in Vietnam?
